+1 Stone Skipping Throwing Guide: Bounces, Skill, and Throw Results
How a +1 Stone Skipping throw works: your stone skips down the lane, each bounce pays +1 Skill, longer throws reach more bounces, and results report meters plus Wins — with the HUD reference and what's known about secret throws.
Quick answer
When you throw in +1 Stone Skipping, your stone skips down the water lane and every bounce pays +1 Skill — longer throws reach more bounces, that Skill fills your level bar, and the game reports each throw as a distance in meters plus Wins paid by how far it traveled.
- Every water bounce pays +1 Skill (base rate; your level multiplier scales the actual gain)
- Longer throws reach more bounces, so they collect more Skill
- Skill fills the level bar, and each level raises your global multiplier — the spawn banner's yellow TUTORIAL goal is REACH LEVEL 20
- A finished throw reports a distance in meters and pays Wins by throw distance
How to throw
Recorded sessions show the rhythm around a throw rather than a named control. A fresh account is gated by tutorial tasks — one player notes the game “says get 30 skills... I need to get 30 skills before I start the game” — completed by repeatedly pressing to “scale up,” the training stat behind the official description's line “Train and level up to throw farther.” Those training clicks pay Skill on their own; later in a similar session, repeated clicking still yields Skill (“Nice. Nice. 70 per click.”). After training, players throw and repeat (“So, we are doing farther or what? Throw. Throw, throw again.”), and one creator's first throw wraps up with “Okay, that's how you do.”
Set expectations before you hunt for a control scheme: the exact input that starts and completes a throw — a named button, key, or click target — isn't documented, and neither is an aim, power, or launch sequence. Use whatever throw prompt your current UI shows rather than a specific control listed here. The same caution covers auto throw: an “AUTO throwing active” banner appears in rebirth-related footage, but how auto throwing is unlocked or toggled isn't documented.
How bounces are counted and how they award Skill
Bounces are counted one-for-one with Skill. The developer's own description states: “Every bounce gives you +1 Skill!” Independent guides repeat the same rate — each bounce across the water adds +1 Skill — and tie it to progression: that Skill “is what pushes your next throw into farther zones for more Wins,” and it's “the whole engine: more Skill means longer throws, farther zones, and more Wins banked.” A Skill Potion “bumps the stat that grows every time your stone kisses the water, so later throws travel farther before they sink.”
Treat +1 as the base rate, not your final payout. Your level multiplier — observed running from ×1.1 at level 6 to ×111 at level 115 — rebirth multiplier pads at spawn, and timed boosts all scale what each bounce actually pays, so your real per-bounce gain varies.
Reading throw feedback
A completed throw is reported as a distance in meters — observed throws ranged from 212 m up to 1,776 m — and Wins are the currency earned by throw distance: farther zones pay more, with “+200 Wins for a 1,404 m throw” observed in play. Footage states the same rule from the player's side: the game “is all about throwing stone,” and the farther you throw, the more Wins you get.
The HUD tells you the rest of the story:
Comparison
| HUD element | What it is | Observed example |
|---|---|---|
| Skill (yellow bolt) | The currency you earn from bounces and levels. Drives your level bar. | “58 SKILL” early; millions later |
| Level bar (blue, stud texture) | Current level and progress to the next. Each level-up ticks your multiplier up. | “Level 6 — 8/10”; “Level Up! [x8]” |
| Multiplier | A global multiplier on your gains that climbs with level. | ×1.1 at level 6 → ×111 at level 115 |
| Wins (golden trophy) | The currency earned by throw distance — farther zones pay more. | +200 Wins for a 1,404 m throw |
| Round pink-blue icon | Your rebirth count. It gates the multiplier pads at spawn. | 0 at spawn → 5 after repeated rebirths |
| Friend Boost | A bonus when a friend is in the server. | +10% with a friend; +0% without |
Secret throws
Normal throws can occasionally produce a special outcome footage calls a “secret throw”: mid-session, “Okay, something is happening. A secret throw. I got a secret throw,” and later, “Oh, I got another secret... How am I getting secret? Does it have anything to do with my levels?” What triggers a secret throw — and how often one happens — isn't known; the player who hit them couldn't pin down a cause either, so there's no reliable way to force one.
The behavior described here reflects the game as documented in late September 2026. If the developer updates the throwing system, recheck the throw control and the bounce-to-Skill rate in game.
